4.6 stand alone into rat rod

Looking into doing a 99-04 4.6 or a 5.4 triton swap into 37 ford.

Originally was going to do 2jzgte swap but motor and stand alone were $5,700

A freind suggested a romeo or triton swap. He said I can use a carbed intake swap. Im not a fan of carbs.
Can I just hook p the harness and computer and feed the ecm power and be just like a stand alone? Or am I stuck with carb????

I'm not scared of wiring, just rather have plug n play to keep it cleaner.

You could use a stand alone system, there are a few available.

Honestly unless you want the challenge of going fuel injection, or your doing it for a modern/classic setup you are going to find going carb alot smoother IMO.

Also, what are your goals for this vehicle? Fast? If so ditch the 2v 4.6/5.4 and go with the tried and true 302 or 351 based setup if you are looking for power. A 4v 4.6/5.4 setup would cost more than a 2v, but be alot better off.

all I heard was a Toyota engine into a Ford, that is pathetic.

I wanted a 2jz because of 28mpg and sounds sweet. It also handles upwards 650hp stock, Its also original.

Any input on a romeo runs when it is carbed? Im not a fan of carbs but if I can make it clean I can manage. I'm used to tuning on laptop.

A stand alone will cost. There are plenty of streetable carb setups out there. They have a lot less wiring which equals less mess. Honestly That'll be your best bet. That Holley system would be Sweet too though.
