well i would go with the 2.1L since its smog legal and you can up the boost on it but then you have to worry about your motor

The KB is going on a built motor. I've actually looked into the 2.1L but I wanted to go all out with this project. It's been a long time since I've actually gotten the chance to do this again. I built my 94 Supra and had a blast with it but was restricted since I'm in California. This time I wanted to go all out and get the best of everything.

Now a question for everyone. What must I do with DMV to keep the vehicle as a track vehicle? Is there anything specific that I must do in cali?

from my understanding you go in to the DMV and change the registration to a off road use only vehicle and cannot be used in the street :( but i dont how much that cost and if there is anything special to do

I got a little information on it and Yes, you're correct. I must register the car as a off road use only. They state that you can actually get a permit which allows you to use the vehicle on the highway as well. I just don't know if they need a smog certificate for that as well. I live in Riverside and the Track over in Perris is maybe 5-10 minutes away. I wonder if they allow me to get a off highway / on highway sticker without a smog. I highly doubt but I'll need to ask. Cali sucks man... You can't so sh** without having to worry about passing smog. I don't have my hook ups anymore and nobody seems to know of any. :(
