Hey guys, I have to write up an RO (repair order) for replacing a water pump on my 96 mustang gt for school. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to replace a waterpump? If anyone has access to alldata and can send me the hours, that would be great. Or if anyone has an old receipt from a water pump being replaced, let me know. Also, what is the average labor rate for a mechanic right now? Thanks for all of the help.

AVG labor rate at our Dealership here in KS is $53.00/Hr. The labor itself for the water pump, probably 1.0 or so, don't have an exact reference to look at right now.

When i replaced the pump on my '96, it probably took around .6/hr or so, that includes filling the cooling system and checking for leaks. It's a very simple job on the 4.6's.
