4 Beeps - Four Audible Reports From the Dash

Hello all - its been a while since I've been to this forum, as my 1992 GT has been mostly in storage.

In running it on a beautiful spring day, I heard four audible reports (beeps) coming from under the dash.

The pattern is beep, beep, beep, beep.........pause........beep, beep, beep, beep. Then it stops for about a half hour until it does it again.

Thoughts?

No responses makes me think that this may be an aftermarket product - maybe a radio or alarm system???

Sounds like a good bet to me... As far as I know there is nothing in the 92 wiring capable of making a beep. A chime yes but no beep. I'd bet it's the remains of some 90s aftermarket alarm system.

it sounds like you have a digital watch hiding someplace in your car.

It is coming from the Air Bag Diagnostic Module.

And yes, it is a stock/non-aftermarket component.
