I have always been told that 4 bolt main is worth the money. I am wanting a 351W 4 bolt main to start building up, possibly stroke to something considerably bigger. I have been told that there is no factory 4 bolt main. The only way to get one is order one from ford motorsports, the SVO block. Is this true, anywhere cheaper??? Is it really worth it, and when do you truly need a 4 bolt main?

The stock 351 by design is much stronger than the 302. But if you are going all out, get the Dart 351. It's the best block you can buy.

Is the Dart 351 a 4bolt main? What is so great about the dart and where is the best place to get it?

I am not sure if one block will take more stress than the other though.
The older (pre-74) blocks can make far more power than will ever be needed on a street car, in my opinion.
