4 bolt or 6 bolt main

There was a thread about Romen vs winsors and how one has 11 bolt valve cover and the other was 14 bolts and how one had 4 bolt crank and the other a 6 bolt. Now are the 4.6s 4 bolt or 6 bolt mains because 6 bolt sounds odd.

Romeos have an 11 bolt valve cover and a six bolt flywheel

Windsors have a 14 bolt valve cover and a 8 bolt flywheel

Are you talking about flywheel bolts or main cap bolts? The Romeo and Windsor iron block were all 4 bolt mains, but differed in the number of crankshaft bolts. The 96-01 Cobra blocks are all 6 bolt mains, and 8 bolt crankshafts...
