I have what looks to be 4 cyl springs sitting in my garage. I have 17 inch wheels 245/45/17 on the car with factory height springs right now. Will these 4 cyl springs work on this setup with no clearance issues? Its a 89 LX.

My sons car, an 89 LX, currently has 4cyl springs, and when the stock 15" ten holes were on it, when looking from the side, there was no gap between the tire and the top of the wheel well arch. The tires were P225R60?'s I beleive.
I would almost bet that you'll have clearance problems, but it's just a WAG.

i have 4cyl. springs on my car and with 205/60/15 i had about a 2"-3" gap in the front and a 3"-4" gap in the back(215/60/15) . im getting ready to cut a coil off the rear, to try and level it out.

I also was curious about these springs too. I read in a MM & FF mag once that said it'll drop it about an inch. Many people get different ride heights though based on many factors such as relocating the battery, tubular susp., ect. I was goin to slap the 4 cyl. springs and take out the spring isolaters so it can give it about a 2 inch drop, but I dont want to take the chance of putting the springs in then taking them back out...I want to be SURE...Let me know if you install the springs
My father's '92 GT has four cylinder springs on it and 245/45/17's. The tires do rub the against the inside of the fender in parking lots sometimes when making a quick turn(the front sway bar is removed so a quick turn in a parking lot = a bit of body roll that leads to the tires lightly kissing the inside of the fender). I'm not sure if the isolators were removed from his car or not.

Of course, as with most things, ride height will vary from car to car for a number of factors...so the only sure way is to install the springs and check for clearance. This can be a bit of a pain if you find out that you don't have enough clearance...but springs aren't that hard to swap out on these foxes anyways(at least in my opinion).

My notch is a 4cyl to v8 swap...I retained all the stock 4cyl stuff....I used 94-95 Spindles for 5 lug conv. I have 17X8 Cobra wheels with 245-45-17. They fit and look great, very little gap between the fender and wheel. The car still handles well. They rub the K-frame on a full turn, like if you pull a Uy.

Your dads car sits pretty nice. It sits about the same as my car with the eibach sportlines. Is there any chance your dad would know if he had the spring isolaters removed ?
