Be careful with your front wheel selection. The 96 spindles will push out your front wheels

It's only an inch or two. What's the big deal?

Yeah, I'd thought I'd read that... he said he had some 94 stuff for sure but thought these were 96...are they different?

96+ are a few mils longer then the 94-95 stuff. If you are running bigs and littles it really won't be a problem. However if you want to run 17X9's you might have some trouble. Also, the 96+ stuff is supposed to cause bump steer problems, although there are more then a few people around here that are running the newer spindles and don't have a problem.

Ok...a buddy of mine is telling me he's got stuff I can have *free*to convert to five lug with rear disc, but I want to still be able to clear 15 inch drag lites for track duty.. I believe the rear brakes are lincoln mark..front are 96 gt(not sure about front) will they clear? what rotor diameter can I go to and not have clearance issues?

The last thing that you want is to see one of your wheels, rolling by you, after it has broken off!! As far fetched as this sounds, it has actually happened to a couple of guys who post here! If you plan on doing any road racing, track days or cone carving, then the 5 lugs are a must. Both for the added strength, and the required better brakes. After I supercharged my car, and nearly crashed it into a slower moving car, I knew that upgraded brakes were a necessity. Something that I should have done, before making more power! It really is a no brainer, nothing but benefits, to do the upgrade.
