4 lug to 5 lug conversion What will i need?

If you are putting in a V8 you may want to look into some of the suspension, steering and spindles as well. There are diferences on these parts between the I6 and V8 cars. I would look into Wilwood brakes, which come with 5 lug pattern for the front. For the rear you'll need an 8", 8.8 or 9" rear end swap.

Buy these new or find them off another stang?

for the rear...just do the whole rear end. You will need new axles to do it. For the price of new axles, you can buy a foxbody 8.8
I can get a axle, engine and tranny out of a 69 stang for $100. would a foxbody 8.8 be better?

Just in case you are not aware of this, the 69 rear end is wider then the 66. If you want to keep the same width front and rear you will either need to run more off set on the rear or use the same offset for the front as the rear and use a spacer on the front. If you could find a rear out of a 65-66, that would be easiest. I am not sure but the u joints may be different between the 6 cylinder and v8 models.

The '69 rear end would allow you to run the positive offset late model wheels everyone seems to be so crazy about without spacers.

I've got an 8" rear end I'd sell for $100 out of my '65 coupe (I have a 9" to go in it's place). Oh, I'm in the OKC area (north of Edmond, but work in OKC). Tim, as I recall, you're down near Hugo, correct?

don't forget, you'll need 4 more lugnuts :)

I don't think a fox 8.8 would be the best way to go, you'd have some fab work to do(or pay to have done), then you'd have to switch it over to 5 lug too (foxes were 4 lug). Search for a stock 8" rear for a stang, research the width you need for whatever wheels you plan to run.
