Fox 4 point K member brace

I would recommend it.strut tower brace too.
Yes, agreed, especially in a convertible.... I can install that later,,,, Right now the car is apart, if I did the K member brace now is a good time. ( I forget, you have seen the car)....... Again, is the K member brace worth doing for NON track driving?

Again, in a vert it eliminates 'cowl shake' and I think they should have come from the factory with them.
And I will add that a rear shock brace is a good investment too, with the top chopped off and no x brace behind the rear seat everything above the belt line there is little to no support.

I noticed a difference with my STB. Reduced cowl shake dramatically. I would imagine it would be even more dramatic in a vert.

The lower k-member brace is also a highly recommended part.

Mike, what symptoms of cowl shake did you experience. I’ve been on the fence about the stb for a while.

It’s been a few years since install, but If I remember correctly it was the reduction of lots of creaks and squeaks in the front end when I went over uneven pavement, especially if you hit a dip on one side of the car causing it to twist corner yo corner.

Since the vert does not have a 'fixed' roof section to tie it into the rest of the body structure the only thing the cowel/windshield has is the front structure to hold it still. They develop side to side movement when traveling uneven surfaces like diagonally transversing railroad tracks or pot holed roads. Strut tower braces triangulate and stiffen the cowel to help with the side to side movement.

I did both the 4 point K member brace and front strut tower bar at the same time. The reduction in squeaks and noise was insane. The driving experience was also night and day difference, made the oversteer much more predictable. Since I did them both at the same time, I couldn’t tell you if one did more than the other.

This was on a coupe, FWIW…
