meh, I wouldn't do it that way. One of the main benefits of the 5-lug conversion is upgrading the crappy fox brakes. Most people who do a 5-lug conversion buy 17"+ wheels. And wheels that heavy with the tiny stock rotors wouldn't be the greatest idea ever.

Yeah, dont do it that way, even a cheapo SVO front with 73mm calipers and rear drums would be way better than an adapter.

Those spacers arn't even hubcentric. I wouldn't touch them.

And the wheels I am looking at are 17x9 weighing 21 lbs. My stock 16" Pony's weigh 21.5 lbs.

BTW: marine_2003...I am specifically NOT going to buy from you since you are trying to hock your parts to me in a discussion thread. When I want to buy something, I check out the classifieds myself. At least provide useful input/feedback in the future before tossing in a reference to what you have for sale. Blatant = bad.

50resto sells a kit for $400

You are limited to what wheels you can use though.

Anyone know if I can use Weld 5 stars with the 50Resto 5 lug conversion??

And as for buying a kit...Based on the numerous write-ups on the DIY junk yard conversions, I would just do it that way and save money compared to the $400 kit from 50Resto.

The grease cap is too big or something.
Using stock spindles hold you back.

Yeah, I looked into them and saw that - same goes for most junk yard methods. I guess I will look into getting some Strange axles or maybe their complete 9" rear end.
