I am currently in baghdad iraq, so money really isnt a major issue. I dont know much about cars, but have a decent amount of money and want bullet proof motor. thanks for your time.

currently have:
bbk headers
bbk x pipe
flowmaster catback
jlt cai
b&m short throw

its gonna take much more money to do it N/A than you would spend on a s/c.

maybe cams, springs, and a huge shot of nitrous would get you close........maybe.
i would just go ahead and get the blower if money isnt a big deal. you can find a deal on a NICE blower for under 4K with everything you need to put it on.

Cheapest way: supercharge it. Done.

N/A is going to cost you like twice as much...

Like the others said, 400 WHP is almost impossible N/A. Sense you said you have money, I would go with a Kenne Bell blower . I like Vortech too. I made 417WHP on the stock pulley, exhaust, power pipe, and intercooler. Everything cost me $2700 including the tune.

If money isnt an issue I would get a Kenne Bell. Its not difficult to get 400HP with this kit, and now that they have upgraded the base kit to the 2.1 blower 500+ wont be an issue for you in the future if you want more power.

if money isnt an issue go kenne bell. if i had the cash i would but im running a p1sc intercooled, it seems close and im killing 6.0 gtos but i think ill play with fuel and engine management to get over the 400whp mark.

Sorry to hijack your thread bro, but I was trying to get to that same magical number with my 03 Mach 1. Is it possible to get mine up to 400 rwhp N/A with say ported or stage 2 livernois or patriot heads, cams, & longtubes & whatever other bolt ons I can get. I would love to get a blower too, but I want some longevity out of my motor. I know a blower can get me there easily, but I was kinda considering a different route now. My motor has 37k miles by the way. Also what would be the cost in the 2 different scenarios, N/A & F/I. What do u guys think?

your looking at 4k in parts before you even start on the regular bolt ons, then install.. probably 7-8k easy N/A. you can get a turbo setup or KB for that price. A centri would save you 2-3K

Yeah, for people asking this same question for 300rwhp I kind of shrug off the sc crowd but it's kinda hard to ignore in this case. If you were going to stay N/A I'd say dump the 4.6 and start looking at other engines. A 5.4 navi could be found in a junk yard if you look for a while then you would need to probably notch th pistons for the gigantic cams you'd need on the uber expensive ported 4v heads. All the rest, meh... You could try to get one of those big ol' pushrod engines in there.. maybe do the much hated ls1 swap

400rwhp N/A?

Junk the 2v heads, buy 4v DOHC FR500 heads, port the hell out of the heads and intake, put some nasty cams in, put some high compression pistons and stronger rods and crank, done.

im not saying it cant be done, but at what cost and why?

you get a much more streetable car and less expense on the pocketbook from a P/A. I went the N/A route at first and on a 2v with a built block ported heads, cam.. LT... the works I got to 300rwhp... .for what???? to spend 4k and still get my ass kicked by a simple 7lb vortech car?

thats the ultimate OWNAGE!

You need more than that to bolt 4V heads to a 2V motor.
