Since I was talked outta selling my car for a 03/04 Cobra I figured I would build mine up stronger. I was going to do a dart/world 427 with some AFR 225 heads a nice cutsom cam and slap my Kb Blowilla/ flowzilla on top and throw some large boost at it. Maybe a custom intercooler. But would the 427 be too big for my KB? I hate to get rid of the blower since I have only had it for a year or so. Thoughts and or suggestions please!

Does the intake that you use with the Flowzilla match the AFR heads?

You are just going to have to get a lower intake that will work with a 351W. Since the heads will now be further apart. I believe they make lowers that will work just fine. That thing should be a TQ Monster.

True. But the amount of boost he gonna wanna make he will need an intercooler of some sort. And to intercool a KB u need to make a custom lower intake. Or you could just go with meth/water injection.

I dont think you will need the torque help on a 427 anyways, so i would go with a T trim or turbo setup (both intercooled).

It will take some time to build up a motor like that anyways,(unless you have all the money to throw at it right now) so enjoy the KB for now and see what happens from there.

Custom Air to Air intercooler. Didn;t the 95 Cobra R have a 351W? If so didn't they use the Cobra lower intake?

They do make a cobra style lower intake that fits a 351w. If you look at the intake on a Cobra R it says 5.8L Cobra not 5.0L cobra. It is not much different just a little wider between the heads because of the block so you need a new lower.

is it a 2.2L? even that might not be enough to get much boost on an engine that big.

302/427=.70
2.2/.7=3.11

so you'd have to have a 3.1L kb to see the same boost you are seeing with your current motor.

or you would probably get .7 of the boost you get with the 302. the again, the engine will be breathing easier, so the hp would be massive anyway

yeah, i agree.....how much can you pully up a kb? You would really have to pully the hell out of that kb to even see the same amount of boost you have now.....If it can even pump that much air...
