4x4 suspension

Just pulled the plug and ordered some 03' machined cobra wheels and 275's for the gt. Now I still have the 4x4 suspension, which needs to change.

I was thinking of the eibach pro-kit. I have read some posts that say it will work just fine with stock struts and steering. I have read other post that say CC plates and struts are required. trying to keep this as stock as possible.

I read the C-spings would drop it less, but were not progressive.

04 GT coupe
mostly stock/ DD
no major racing or drag

How many miles are on the car? If its under 50k then I wouldn't worry about changing the struts. Mileage can be misleading tho. It really depends on how hard the car has been driven.

anything more than a bullitt drop and it is highly recommended you go with aftermarket struts and cc plates

It never hurts to change the shocks/struts but with 24k that’s still on the low side. I have 60k and my car is at ford getting FRPP B springs and Blistein Shock struts installed. I should have her back tomorrow. I would get the shocks and struts done while you do the springs. Mine as well get them all done at once, then you don’t have to worry about them down the road.

is the factory caster/camber adjustable enought to get the alignment in spec?

It is good up to 1.5" drop, after that you need MM CC plates.

I would get new struts/shocks at the same time personally. I just did mine that way because I could swap them out easily at the same time as the springs. You could also just upgrade slightly and not kill your wallet but get some decent shocks/struts that will be better than the stock ones. BTW..I'm doing the same wheel/tire combo in the spring after the winter What tires did you get and where did you order the rims from? Also, If I can ask how much they were? Good luck with your decision!

wheels were $450 shipped off ebay, although i noticed discount tire also sells them for $125ea. probably easier to just get the whole package from discount tire

Nice...let us know how those rims look. I know the ones on ebay I am looking at (AFS) look slightly different that the ones on Discount (Replica Alloys). Make sure you throw some pics up when you get them!

absolutely.... dropped my last two sn95's, one with c springs, the other with eibachs. Each car wears differently according to driving conditions, etc.. No milage estimate is going to be accurate. Save yourself the trouble, buy new shocks and struts and install them at the same time, because your stock ones wear out quick when dropped.

I got the pro kit on my 04 at 18k......
no need for shocks, struts, cc plates. I didnt even get an alignment.
At 33 k all is still perfect.

nice thing about c-springs is you probably wont need cc plates. I was with in 1 degree caster on driver side and 2 degrees caster on passenger side

I'm 3 degress off on the drivers side with my FRPP B springs. I orderd MM CC plates yesterday.
