Why can't anyone give me numbers of their setup, N/A? Do the damn stroker kits not work? People, come on!

For a NA setup a stocker won't be the best approach, a Big Bore is the answer. Because our engines dont need more stroke we need more bore.

VT engine have two good big bore setups, ones a 304, others a 324.

stroking the 4.6L is pointless on n/a, except you are getting forged pieces.

Stroking a 4.6L is pointless in most applications until you maximize the bore. The maximum bore you can go on an aluminum block is 3.7", this will give you 304 CI or 5.0L. Max bore on a iron block safely is .020 over or 3.572", this will give you 4.7L or 283 CI of displacement.

Modular Performance is a bit cheaper on the Big-Bore than VT and as good, if not better.

I will look for the article but what I remember was using stock heads/cams/intake the stroker lost power compared to the stock displaced motor but the Big-Bore made quite a bit more. Down low in the RPMs the stroker did well compared to the stock 4.6 setup, but the Big-Bore matched the stroker down low.

Damn, that is a small bore for the iron block.

you'll gain power. maybe not the greatest hp per $ value tho. the only time the stroker/bore shortblocks hurt are when they are N/A with stock heads.

that really sucks. old 5.0s could make some power on easy strokes

Every graph I have seen, A big bore always gained power. You are correct, I meant 4.6L for 283 CI motor.

Well, no. The 5.4 is a 330ci. The highest kit available for the 4.6 is a 324ci. (Which I believe is a 5.3)

A 351 is a 5.8L

They do, it is called the 5.0L Cammer and you can buy it now at just under $15000.00. The 5.0L block alone is $3100.00, which is the 3.7" Bore BTW.

well, ya. i mean 5.0 moduler as standard GT engine.
this is way i think Ford should have done.

5.0 SOHC V-8 for GT @ around 300hp
5.0 DOHC for Mach1 @ around 330hp
5.8 SOHC for Kebra @ around 360hp
5.8 DOHC S/C for 03 Kebra @ around 425hp

wouldn't that have been nice???
