I'm close to firing her up but need tech advice. I purchased an HEI Distributor from Summit. There are 3 ways to hook it up. I have the resistor wire under dash, (not sure which is the resistor wire). Summit said to check for 9 volts at the wire. If I find it and there is not 9 volts, how do I proceed. Is there a simpler way to do this? Summit supplied an external ballast resistor, but I can't use it with that wire still in play. This shade tree mech appreciates any input. Thanks
