I am looking at aftermarket intake manifolds for my 95GT 5.0L and have a newbie question about the elbows. For manifolds for Fox body 5.0 are they all acceptable for use on the SN95? The only elbows I have found have been from Professional Products and Edelbrock. Do those work with the GT40's, Trick Flow's, and Holley Systemax? What about the EGR fittings, are they all EGR compatible? I have read the Explorer GT40 intake are EGR or non EGR but someone told me it can go through the throttle body or the intake fittings, is that correct?

Thanks
Joe

With the adapter, you can run any fox style intake. You will have clearance issues with the stock strut tower brace. The EGR bolts to the elbow using your SN style EGR, and all the ones I know have the provisions for it. I know BBK, Edelbrock, hell pretty much everyone makes an aftermarket elbow. Pass on the Professional Products one, it's a Chinese piece.

get whatever fits with the opening of the intake. if your intake is 75mm get the trickflow, if its 70mm get the edelbrock.

I have the Edel on my Stang

I've seen on several past threads peeps say the TFS flows better
than the Edel

I saw some close up pics of the TFS and I would have to say it seems to
look like if would offer less restriction

I got lots of data from many dyno charts where the SN setup was used

The best of the combos have the TFS and not the Edel

When I did my combo the TFS was not offered so I used the Edel

The TFS was a bit less money so that may be a reason you see the
TFS used more than the Edel

I'd run the TFS if I was setting up another combo

Just my 2 cents worth
