5.0 L and a 1967 C4 tranny match up

Everything bolts up, you need a flexplate that's compatible with the later 5.0 and that's it. The newer 5.0's had a 50 oz imbalance where the older 289/302 motors had a 28 oz imbalance. Other than that, it's all the same, including the starters.

I have a 5.0 hooked to a 67 C4 in my 68 coupe. I have a custom 50 oz flexplate as mentioned above. I put a fuel pump eccentric and an old timing cover on the front of mine. I went back with V belt pulleys. One problem I just discovered is I cant use the factory balancer with my v belt pulleys because it sticks out too far. I'm gonna have to purchase a new 50 oz balancer with a flat face for my pulleys to work.
