i want 300rwhp, thats my goal, what would i be at if i put on the trickflow trackheat 302 engine kit (h/c/i) and a supercharger with say 8psi? also, what does a stroker kit do? would i need to rebore my thingies or what? im at 150,000km and if im that close to the pistons i mine aswell do a rebuild, and if im gonna do a rebuild i mine aswell upgrade and stroker kits sounds like the ticket

Just the H/C/I should get up damn close to 300rwhp. Add 8 lbs of boost and you should be in the 450rwhp range. A stroker kit combines an overbore, usually.030 over, a longer connecting rod and a custom crank to add cubic inches. The mentioned H/C/I with 8 lbs of boost on top of a 331 or 347 stroker would be one awesome setup !!!

The trick flow kit should get you around 300rwhp depending on how tired your short block is. If you go forced induction stay around 8.5:1 compression... no more than 9:1

ok so the trickflow has too much compression, thats something i was thinking about, it says it makes more compression than stock heads, well if that h/c/i combo makes close to 300rwhp, ill just leave it at that and put on some loud muffler that hopefully puts me at 300+rwhp

Free post. Good idea leave the engine stock and put on flowmasters. That will definitely get you to your 300hp goal.

bah,,,,,,,,
you can run 10:1 with 15 lbs, on 91 octane, and 1 degree of timing retard after 3lbs......... ask me how i know.........
c/s can run higher compression than a turbo, or p/d type supercharger.

an s-trim on a stock engine @ 8 lbs will get ya over 300 at the wheels. then, everything you add will have a big improvement!

Like the others said, either the blower or the H/C/I will get you close to or at 300 hp. If your going to go stroker, the prefered version is a 331 if your going to add a blower, 347 if staying N/A.

yep!
when your running a blower, there is no more greater importance than tune! you can run 8.5:1, 9:1, 10:1, 11:1, but your gonna have to tune it right and make sure that your fuel system (and what gas you use)is gonna be approiate.

as for your 300HP goal... thats cake work. that TFS kit will work great for what you want. However, i would go a different route and get a custom cam, some better USED heads and a RPM or RPM2 intake. yes, its gonna cost ya like $300-400 more total, but the camshaft is the brains of the motor and with an OTS cam, your gonna be hurting the blowers performance! talk to Jay Allen at camshaft innovations (tell him Nate Miller sent ya) and you will have a motor that will make about 500 hp, not 400, after he designs a cam for YOUR needs!

A stroker/heads/cam/intake/blower combo gets costly and very fast (not just your car). Many things would need to be upgraded to reliably support that power. Transmission/clutch/torque boxes/suspension/block/internals/all the valvetrain components/fuel requirements/and daily driver needs to go along with it and a tune or a device to tune. VERY costly...

The trickflow package will get you around the 300rwhp mark with some exhaust and some bolt-ons. You will want 24lb injectors/adjustable fuel pressure regulator/155-255lph fuel pump.

Keeping the compression lower for your car will help you in the "tuning" process and getting you some leeway on your possible daily driver. Keep the compression lower will help you out. Now the TW h/c/i package isn't going to hurt you with it's compression. It won't go up much at all...

Boring doesn't do much. Alls it is "there" for is to create a fresh cylinder wall for your piston rings to mate against. If you just bored a 302 you might get 4-5hp from that alone (to a 306). Stroking is where you can acheive the power.

do a 331 if you going whith the s/c its more reliable and will let your motor last longer and remember when adding extra power things start to break so be prepared

8lbs of boost on my otherwise stock longblock got me 300+rwhp. $1600 for a used V1 S-trim.
