Hey guys I am looking for a supercharger for cheap. Do you have any sugestions? I am thinking about the vortech SQ-trim supercharger. I am looking to spend like 1500 on a kit. If you have any sugestions or know any one tell me.

Thanks,
Dave

Going to have to buy used if you only want to spend $1,500. Dont forget about the other upgrades you will need as well if they dont come w/ the kit such as injectors and a fuel pump ( sometimes are included in the kit) and a matching Mass air meter w/ the injectors. Dont forget that it would also be nice to have a boost guage as well. I think currently the Vortech S-trim is the cheapest well build quality blower on the market as far as wanting to get one for cheap and not giving up quality.

The quietest is Powerdyne from what I've heard (pun). I would rather get a Vortech A-trim or a Novi-1000.

Powerdyne is the quietest b/c is had an internal belt drive rather than gear drive, like paxton/vortech. However, this belt drive is known to break. I have the vortech s/c, use a power pipe and get about 7 psi w/ the stock pulley combo. It added a ton of power and is definately worth it. I plan to send the head unit back to vortech for a upgrade to a s or sq (super quiet) in the future. The total cost is about $800 to do so. I would strongly suggest you buy a new setup since there are so many tiny nuts and bolts that it is next to impossible to buy a complete used setup, not to mention the warranty. My main reason for purchasing the S/C was the price and also I already had, or did not like, some of the stuff included in the S trim package. Here is a pic of my supercharger setup:

Items I purchased when doing my supercharger:
1. Vortech S/C kit
2. Crane HI-6 ignition
3. Bosch bypass valve
4. Anderson power pipe
5. Vortech - polished discharge tube
6. Pro-M mass air for S/C setup

I already had prior to S/C purchase:
1. 30lb injectors
2. 255 LPH pump
