Engine 5.0 swap from a 3.3

Hey yall, i have a 80 fox with the 3.3 inline six, over the winter I'm going to be tearing it down and swapping in a 5.0. it has the C3 transmission( i believe) can i reuse that with the 5.0?

That trans probably won't hold up to V8 power. I believe you'll have to change the cross member to mount a 302 as well.

The K-member will need to be changed to a V8 or 4 cylinder k-member.

Pretty sure the C3 will not bolt up to the 302/351W family of blocks.

It will bolt up but it will also be horrible.

Find a T5.

Everything I read said it would not and I could not find anyone that had one behind a 302/351 so I stand corrected.

Well... It was made for the 4 bangers and 6 bangers. They never came on any 8 cylinder. Back in the day tho... It's sister was the T-9 Manual. A popular upgrade from the T-9 was the T-5.

So, it will at least bolt but beyond that... There are probably other mods necessary that are not worth the cost.
