5.2L VooDoo

I have ran across a guy that has a 5.2L VooDoo engine for sale. How can I be sure it is a genuine 5.2L and not just a Coyote with a GT350 intake manifold without pulling the oil pan?

A true VooDoo engine has to be a pull from a GT 350, ford does not sell the voodoo as a crate engine. Look for the vin stamp on the block, if there isn't one then its a crate engine, there for not a voodoo. If there is one, run the vin and see if it came from a GT 350. If the vin comes back as regular mustang or a truck, then you have a standard coyote. The vin stamp on the block is on a machined pad on the left rear just above the pan rail and its not actually a stamp but it is laser etched into the block, so if you see a real stamping then it is fake.
