Well I have aquired a 5.4 3v with 15k miles. It is out of an 08 expedition. The motor is in good shape, just needs cams. Does anyone know anything about these motors? I have been debating on building it and putting it in my 02 gt. Few questions:

How good are the 3v heads on these motors?

How much of a pain in the ass is it going to be to swap into my car?

What all will be needed for this swap?

Big PITA - the 5.4 2v barely makes it in. A 5.4 3v would be a really tight squeeze.

I think logan motorsports has a instal kit. You would need the mustang intake as the truck one is different.

my advice is to get it in the car and build a custom turbo. boost it to 10 psi. 450rwhp 550-600rwtq.
