Yea,it will be some work, nothing to hard though.

Real question, would you'd want one in a Mustang? I mean, you can make almost just as much power with a 4.6L if both have forced induction.

It does fit but it is tight. You still need everyting you need to install a 4.6 i.e. tubular k-member, hydraboost brakes, etc, plus one big cowl hood to fit it under.

That's a lot of work, cost and additional weight in the front end of your Fox for an engine that only puts out 260hp.

Check out Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords project Ice Box. I think this project was a Lightning 5.4 swapped into a fox mustang.

Yeah, that it was. But it's pretty bad that even with a 5" cowl hood, they had to cut a hole into it in order to clear the blower.

Yeah it will fit, but like some of these guys are saying by going through all that trouble you may just want to get a 4.6.

Hey man, if you can afford a lightning motor....do it. I had a lightning before i bought my house and with a built motor and a kenne bell, you can make gobs of torque with it. Mine made 635rwhp and 765rwtq, i always wondered what it would be like to have it in a mustang...ridiculous!
