Will the 5.4L lightning heads fit the 4.6L? We have a PI intake and PI cams wiating to be installed but we are gonna get heads to. Would the PI cams work on the 5.4 heads or are they different because of the supercharger? We plan on turboing it later so should we get 4.6 PI heads or get the 5.4 heads off a supercharged lightning?

I think the 5.4 is wider and has a different angle. I don't think it will work.

Just get yours ported and polished and go with some cams.

yes you can use the lightning heads on a 4.6. for an intake just use the 4.6 PI intake and youre good to go.

lightning heads are a windsor PI head. they are the same as the 99-00 mustang gt heads and will fit the 4.6 blocks and PI intakes, certain parts will need to be changed if you are starting with a romeo 4.6. Best 2V head casting out right now is the 04 romeo PI head.

Like they said , exact same as 99-00 4.6L Windsor , just use a P.I intake from a 99+ 4.6L and you're ready to go.

You will need the water passage from a 99+ to fit under the deeper P.I intake the one from a 96-98 will not fit.

Also, according to what I've read the truck PI heads have a 12 bolt valve cover and the car heads have 9 bolt valve covers. Something you might need to look into if you're using a set of truck heads.
