Ford should make their 5.7 V10 available as a crate engine.

You're talking about the 351 cubic inch, DOHC, 500 fwhp "Boss 351" engine right?

That would be NICE! Can you imagine how much that would cost as a crate engine? Ouch!

Front wheel horsepower?

Screw that just give us a 5.7L production engine.

It would be a bastard to dyno tune with twin ECU's.

Nope, FlyWheel horsepower. Pick up a recent issue of either MM&FF or 5.0 and you will learn all about the new factory mid-11 second Boss 351. And that is without a power adder.

They might have a hard time keeping up with the demand if they did. 425HP N/A...I want one!

BTW...it's a 5.8L

It has to be possible to get one, one way or another. What if someone with a V-10 F-250 blew their engine? Maybe you need to be hooked up with someone on the inside.

They say it's a "smidgen less than 351 cubes", which to me says it's a 350.x cube motor, which is a 5.7L right?

This V-10 is nothing like the truck V-10 that Ford currently produces. It is virtually a 4.6 aluminum Cobra block with two cylinders added to it, so it's only 4" longer than a factory 4.6 but retains the same deck height and will fit under a stock GT hood.

Ohhhhhhh, THAT one.

Yeah, I'd really love to have one of them. I remember reading the article about that. 295's out back, melting those suckers at will.

It's a 4.6L motor with two additional cylinders (5.75L) which rounds to 5.8...

.......And every '00 Cobra R clutch they put in it. What did the article say? Didn't it go through like 8 clutches in a big hurry? I also like how they threw a 9" rear in it too. Oh yeah, and it weighs a bit less than a cast iron 5.4.

5.7 or 5.8?

The chevy 350 is really 349 ci and the ford 351 is really 352 ci, and chevy is 5.7 and ford is 5.8. The V10 is 351.25 ci, so what is it in liters?

If it uses the same bore x stroke as the 4.6 mustang it comes out to 351.38 cubic inches, or 5.759 liters, which is rounded to 5.8.
