5.8L? maybe a dumb question

As you can see by my screen name, I'm going to ask some questions that seem stupid to you guys. I thought 351w engines (5.8L) were basicly the same as 302/5.0L externally. Meaning that a 5.8 will bolt up in place of a 5.0. Is this correct or am I way wrong here? I would think the cubic inches would make a big difference. But it seems that there aren't that many guys doing it. That's the question, is it an easy swap or not?

yes, for the most part. however the 351 has a tALLER DECK HEIGHT ( sorry, caps) which requires a different lower intake manifold and such. im dure more people will chime in, but thats just a little of what know

well ill put it this way it will bolt in, the whole job is a bolt in procedure, you need to get a different lower intake, 351 swap headers, possibly bigger injectors, I think you have to use different engine mounts, im not sure, but thats the meat of it right there, just some other little things and your good.
