I plan on looking for used Aerostar/Ranger axles. However, I read that the SN95 axles, which are 3/4" longer on each side, can be used. Will they work with a drum setup or only a rear disc setup? I want to use these axles to bring the rear wheels out a bit. FYI, I'm going with 17x8" AFS 03 Cobra wheels w/5.06" backspace. The front will be stock brake assembly with replacement 5-lug Powerslot rotors.

Can I use the sn95 axles with drums and does anyone forsee problems with these wheels fitting up front?

Why would you want to do drums in the rear when you could just go ahead and do discs?

I'm not interested in doing rear discs.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think that you can use SN95 axles with drums. All SN95's are disk and use a caliper bracket with an offset to line the rotor and caliper up, using drums with sn95 axles would move the drum out 3/4" so it wouldn't be making much contact with the brake shoes.

Thanks LilRed, that makes sense. I began to wonder about that after giving it some more thought.
