Hey everyone new to the forum but been watching for some time. So i just got a 89 gt hatch and the previous owner has no info for me but the car has the 5 lug conversion with disc all around and had 3:73 gears. So my question is how do I know what brake pads and rotors I will need when it’s time for replacing? Is there anything else I should be worried about with this? Thanks in advance

Photos of the brakes will help to ID it.

More than likely they are SN95 brakes but would need pics to confirm and ID what flavor of SN95 brakes they are.

You may be able to pull the brake pads and they will have part numbers on the edge of the backing plate...maybe. So long story short the front brakes could be Ranger (10"), Lincoln Mark VII / SVO (11"), 94-04 Mustang V6 or GT (10.5"), 94-04 Cobra (13"), or Mach 01 (13") if its an OEM conversion. Then there is all the rear conversions and then lets add in all the aftermarket options.

So with all of that said...how bout them pictures (say it like Jimmy Johnson when the Cowboys mattered)???

As mentioned, pics please.

Rotors - take one off and start measuring. Diameter. Height. Vented or solid.

Pads - first post pics, many knowledgeable folks here can probably tell from looking at it.
