that is a great site, you need 2 drivers side ranger axles or 2 pass. side aerostar axles.

I am going to ask a question so I don't have to start a thread for it. How important is the 5 lug conversion. I always hear of people doing it, but how important is it to do. I know it will make it stronger but it seems like most people do it because there are more wheels for the 5 lug. Is this something that you think should be done for an 11 second weekend/take to the track a few times a year car. It seems like you could get the 5 lug conversion from 50resto and save a lot of time with just getting the kit and get a wheel/tire combo you want. Does anyone know of a 5 lug conversion that comes with good strong axles and 13 inch front rotors?

you definatly dont HAVE to have it for an 11 second car. i have personally seen 4 lug 9 second cars. and theyb have never lost a wheel because they didnt have that extra lug.

Best upgrade I did to my notch...IMO I have the 97 Cobra wheels on my car and they look right at home....they looks better on my notch than on a 1997 cobra!

The 5 lug swap is popular because you have a wider choice of wheels, tires and brakes to choose from. Often the choices are less expensive and provide an upgrade by using junkyard or remanufactured parts. For example, the 94-95 front spindles allow you to use 1999-2004 brakes which are much better than stock.

i just used 94-98 axles, and the brake hardware from an 01 for the rear. and in the front used the 01 spindles and brake hardware. i can tuck a 9 in wheel in the rear with no rubbing

The 5 lug conv. from 50resto is a good setup...but the front rotors will not clear 99-up OEM wheels because they are SVO rotors and the spacing is different. I spoke to a rep about this issue. Sucks, because I was going to go with this setup. The rear conv. they sell will work.
