5 speed conversion ?

My car will start without having the clutch pushed in. What did I miss?

u didnt wire up the clutch interlock switch under the dash that the only place the clutch stops the starter system

The clutch pedal arm is supposed to depress a plunger-activated switch that is tied into your starter circuit.

Evidentally yours is not hooked into this circuit.

under the dash, there will be two wires, that go into a jumper (looks about like the SPOUT connector). I "BELIEVE" they are black w/ a red strip. But I'm not sure of that. I do know, however, that they are the same color/stripe wires as the neutral safety switch that was connected to the AOD. Anyways... You need to find these wires, pull the jumper plug, and connect them to the wires from the clutch switch. (again... I'm not sure, but I believe the wires on the clutch switch are the same color/stripe as the wires that you need to look for).
When I did my swap, the switch on the clutch was bad, so I ended up putting the jumper back in. I think I've hit the starter once w/out pushing the clutch in. So, it's no big deal for me. But if you want the added safety, go for it.
