5-Speed Transmission

My dad said its too hard and now wants to put another AOD in it. He said you have to cut a hole to put the new one in, and patch another hole up and stuff...is that true, or is he just trying to un-convince me?

these cars were meant to have either from the factory, so everythings interchangable easily. theres no cutting or welding to do, its just un-bolting and re-bolting. i did this a couple months ago, it really is not bad. like said before, the hardest part is the pedal swap, but take out the drivers seat and lay in there with your feet on the back seat and its not too bad. speedo cable gets swapped to a different hole (stock routed through the clutch cable hole for some odd reason on automatics) also taller jack stands are great, mine are a couple inches shorter than others and it made it so i couldn't bench press the trans in like most can, which adds a level of complexity.
