5 Speed Transmission

I've got a 91 GT with 5-speed. I had it rebuilt at a local shop, now the Speedometer is off. I have 373s and the white speedo gear, it was perfect before the rebuild. I thought maybe a bad speedo gear so I bought a new one and same thing. Speedometer is way faster that the car is moving.
Shop did a horable job, I wouldn't take my bicycle there for air.
Any Ideas? Thanks

Take the speedo gear out of the trans and look inside.

What color is the drive gear?

If it's black, it's the original 8-tooth drive gear

If it's yellow, then it's a 7-tooth drive gear and you'll need a red 21-tooth speedo gear.


The 7 tooth/red 21-tooth is the most accurate setup with 3.73's
