ok i have a 99 3.8l v6 i bought the car used had it for like a year the car always had a cool winding sound the winding sound is louder now it seems like it's comming from the Transmission also now when i let go of the clutch and im out of gear i hear a rattle sound comming what seems to be the Transmission when i put the car in gear the rattle sound winds down and stops making the sound when i have it in gear and the car is in motion i do not hear a rattle sound just the Transmission winding it makes the sounds in 1st 2nd 3rd and 5th gear the only gear it dont make the winding sound is 4th this seems strange i do not no a lot about cars and i really hope i dont have to change my Transmission i dont have any problems with shifting or anything like that any input would be helful thanks
