I was quoted $500 to install LT headers on my 98 cobra. Ouch I was expecting it to be in the $200-275 range? How much did you guys pay? I would really rather not have to tackle this one on my own but geez I might have to for $500.

Yah, you might be able to find it a little bit cheaper somewhere else, but expect at least 400 on your cobra...

I was quoted $360-400 here locally by Murillo Motorsports which is pretty good considering I KNOW it will be done right.... :nice:

I guess alot of it depends on where you live....

I'm in the process of installing my Mac's. I would have long since been done, but I got a bad header and I'm waiting on a new one. The driver's side is a breeze and the passenger side is not that hard, just tight space. And, no, I didn't drop the k-member. If you can be without your car for a day or two, spend a few hours each day and get it done. The driver's side took maybe 2-hours max. The passenger side took longer because you have to jack the motor up, let it down a little and then back up to tighten the bolts....then I found out it was defective. You spend most of your time raising the motor up and down. If you have someone helping, it would be a real breeze.

:OT: what was wrong with your header????? i'm curious because i had to replace a defective one as well. mine had a crack on the backside of the collector, between the 4 pipes. just curious if this is a big problem  But let me tell ya my car sounded like !@#$ with the original one on :notnice:

One of the primaries wasn't bent correctly. The flanges should all be inline such as: - - - -

Mine looked like: - - _ -

A friend of mine and I tried prying on it, but we couldn't get the holes on the primary on the second tube back on the pass-side to line up with the studs. It was like a 1/2" lower than the others.

Hey Vortech I tried to do a search on mapquest to see how far bridgeport is from hanover and there are like 5 or 6 different bridgeports...can you possibly tell me which one is the correct one? Thanks again!

any header install is a bitch. installing my equal length shorties, was like, that old mind teaser with the two entangled bent nails, and you have to wrap them around each other and twist and move them around in weird ways to untangle them... well; installing my headers sorta reminded me of that. personally i wouldnt do another 99+ header install for any amount of money. :fuss:
