5k a good deal?

today a buddy of mine asked me if my dad would sell his mustang to his brother. my dad has been thinking about selling it to start a other mustang project.


as far as the car goes the paint is about a year and half old and the bumper needs repainted. clutch popped and boom into a cap net as we were putting it away for the winter

the mods on the car are these

4:10's
ported intake upper and lower
dual exhaust system
cobra R rims with new tread
new brakes
new water pump
lx spoiler
new doors.hood.trunk lid. floors. ect.
and some other odds and in's

also the car fax we got said it had over 200,000 in 2003 and its now 2006 and since then its went 35,000 miles. so it has over 235,000 miles on it

i think the engine been rebuilt though seems to have to much power for that many miles.

and one more question was dose a stock 5.0 vert with these mods run int the 1/4.

we pulled a 14.72 was our best run. i thought the verts ran a closer to 15.3 stock? or did the gears just help that much?

so for 5,000 in Cash's do you think it would be worth it It?

we think Mark(guy we bought it off of) had the engine rebuilt about 40,000 miles ago but were going to call him and see if he knows.

This 86 was my second car. The first was an 83 vert

Around here that would bring in roughly 10,800 USD... As long as it runs nicely... I'd remove the graphic on the windshield

in ATL u can't find one in that cond. for under 9k. I'd say 6.5-7 is fair. I don't exactly know what the stock 5.0 verts run, but mine with gears and a shortshifter has gone as fast as 14.8 in bad weather(hot as an arabian nut ssack)
