I've noticed that PA performance offers the 5R55 Automatic Transmission package for the 5.0L. Has anyone installed one in their foxbody? I'm looking to upgrade my AOD, and I'm wondering if I should just go w/ the 5R55 and never have to worry about it again...Curious of what type of stall converter it has though...

Seems pricey though.
The way I read it....
$3300 for the trans
$300 for the adapter to the ford small block
$100 for the torque converter adapter
And a $600 core charge that I don't think an aod will get back for you.
For over $4k....is it worth it to you?

I'll probably stick with my AOD & just improve some of its features...The 5 Spd Auto does sound nice though!Similar threads
