Engine 6.80 pushrods?

anyone in here ever have to use 6.80 pushrods in a stock block 302 with twisted wedge heads?
Just seems a.little odd.. especially with milled heads and a .035 headgasket

that narrow sweep right in the center is perfect. if takes a 6.8 pushrod to make this happen that what it needs

Well..6.75 is with a solid lifter..then I add .050 to compensate for the lifter compression, if I understood that right..?

I’m using 6.800” with TW heads

I measured 6.750” for the right pattern and added 0.050” for the lifter conpression

Good to know.Are your heads milled lt stock? Did you happen to measure like I did or a different way?
And where did you get them form

My heads are untouched. Out of the box. I measured for all the sizes around 6.750”. I did 6.700 through 6.850”. Mine seemed to measure around the same for 6.750” and 6.800 so I went with the larger size.

ive has reputable engine builders tell me the lifters “pump up” at higher rpm, and others tell me the pushrods bend slightly making them slightly shorter.

I never measured mine unfortunately, just slapped them in.
