6 speed + 3.73 = what size speedo gear

i bought a 6 speed conversion from www.bieberfever.com and i need to know what speedo gear i need to read the right speed that i am going.

What size tire are you running? I replied to a different thread about this very kind of question. Try searching for it.

you will need to have the followign information....

1.) tire height to calculate tire rotations per mile or just tire rotations per mile
2.) driven gear count (ie is it a 6, 7 or 8 tooth drive gear?)
3.) Rear gear ratio, which we know is 3.73.

Forumula is

tire rotations per mile X driven gear X 3.73 all divided by 1000

That will tell you which speedo gear you need.

i am running 275/40/17 in the back and 245/45/17 in the front, so how do i deturmine the tire rotation per mile, and where is the driven gear at, plus i have updated the speedometer gauge from a 85 mph to 140 mph :damnit:

The speedo gear you need is a function only of your rear tire size and your rear end ratio -- the tranny has no impact on it.

there are several, I think TCI site may have one.
