my brother bought a 6 speed kit from d&d performance. we finished putting it together yesterday. it went together really nice. had to cut where the clutch cable goes through on the bell housing because it was hitting the header. we cut about 1/2 inch off the bell and it fit perfect. then we had to weld new brackets to the floor board and the subframe connectors for the crossmember. he bought a pro 5.0 shifter. he hasn't drove it yet because it just snowed, but went through all the gears when it was on jackstands.
if someone is going to upgrade by going to a 6 speed i recommend d&d performance. very nice people and very helpful if u have any questions.

he got the tranny with bell housing and factory shifter. new aluminum driveshaft"very very nice", new crossmember, and brackets thats suppose to be bolted to bottom of car so the crossmember will work. instead of bolting my brother welded the brackets. i think thats all he got with the kit.
i'm not sure about gas milage. he has a 331 stroker. just driving around last year mostly playing around he got about 10 mpg. thats with 355 gears and 5 speed. since he put the 6 speed in now he's going to put lower gears in. i think he is going to get 430's but not for sure. were going to jegs this weekend to get his rearend stuff.

Yea the ratios are the following:

5.0/5.8- 2.97/2.07/1.43/1.00/.80/.62

Viper 5.0/5.8- 2.66/1.78/1.30/1.00/.74/.50

Compared to the TKO-600- 2.87 / 1.89 / 1.28 / 1.1 / .64

So for a big difference in mileage ya need the viper spec. A guy on the corral with a blown stroker i think was pushing 500rwhp i believe with 4.30's...pulling 23mpg i want to say on the highway running at 1800-2000rpms goin about 70 IIRC. Viper spec =

i have the d&d viper spec t56. its truely killer. with 3.73's my engine spins at less than 2600rpms at 100mph. I LOVE IT. I also love my brembos, they have saved my life so many times. Now if my suspension was anything but stock my car would be just that much more fun (and safe at high speeds). Sometimes I regret buying it because I still owe my little sister a lot of money but then again after I go out for a drive I dont.
