Hello new here been working on a 64 1/2 for about a year now put a 351w in and a 67 4speed toploader. Did everything thing myself so far. Was driving around today and I hear this buzzing under the Speedo sounds like when you first turn the key but wouldn't stop does anyone know how to fix this. I'm learning as I go. A list of what I have done and what needs to be done... New headlight and alternator harness tailights don't work and I do not have front turn signals installed yet thinking about buying a tailights harness aswell. Engine and drive train work well at the moment interior is original and beat up will need new dash pad new seat covers Speedo doesn't work I have aftermarket tach that work that's about it for gauges no radio headlights work stock alternator power steering headers customer exhaust come out in front of rear tires like the gt350 very fast still tuning the Summit 600 cfm I bought great carb by the way. Have the msd 6al box performer intake lots of aftermarket modified stuff just slowly fine tuning very happy to be apart of this forum looking forward to talking to some other mustang junkies on here thanks...

There should not be buzzing when the key is turned ,are you talking sbout the starter turning the motor over?some times the starter solanoid sticks and the starter will keep turning ,if that is it you can usually hit the solanoid and it will stop. The new solanoids are not very good .

No it's not the starter or solenoid it's right under the dash/Speedo it sounds just like the buzz you would hear if you turned you car off and left the lights on in a 90s ford best way I can describe it or the sound it makes before you start the car but have the key in a switch one notch. It just started happening after I installed a relay and circuit breaker for my electric fan. Maybe it's just vibrations I will look into it more today

Was messing around today was planning on getting a tailights harness but I can get the brake lights to work but when I turn the headlights on the tailights don't turn on. My fuel tank gauge doesn't read either and there's a brand new Scot Drake sending unit in the tank. No I'm thinking I can solve this problem instead of coughing up yet another Ben for the car lmao. Not the best at wiring but I'm getting better at it kinda have a idea it could be a problem at the switch I will start tracing the wires but would love some input maybe there's a easier way or someone else has ran into the same problem?... Any help is appreciated thanks

Your harness may be dissconnected in the kick panel on driver side ,or the ground may be broke off ,also under the kick panel

Figured out what the buzzing was it was actually whistling from the vacuum line I had disconnected to my power booster lmao
