65 289 headers and suspension

Also, what do I need to change with the front suspension. I already got the V-8 spindles and a complete disc brake swap. I heard several different things from coils to idler and pitman arm, center link, tie rod ends? Can anyone shed any light here?

Assuming it's a street warrior, my vote is for coated torque building TRY-Ys. I run these for years with a C4 and my current T5 using the "Z" bar system. I've run them with OEM manual, power steering, and with my current TCP manual R & P. Never a problem.
My rig is a street warrior.

You'll want stiffer coil springs, since the 200/std 289 coils are pretty soft. Check the link below for the best front suspension advice.

You will need all the V8 tie rod ends, adjusting sleeves, center link, pittman and idler arms. The 6 cyl steering box was the same as V8, but unless your 6 has PS, it'll be the 5-turn box, not a performance item. You need to get the 4-turn box, a major upgrade, which was used in all factory PS, and all GT/mach1 cars.

Do this, you'll be amazed at the improvement:

If your going for a mild build, I would at least consider HiPo manifolds.

I have the quick ratio steering box on my car with manual steering and love it.
