65-65 performance radiator

I'm looking to buy a radiator for my coupe. Can anyone reccomend a good place to find an aluminum radiator or a performance one? I'm not trying to pay $500 dollars for one either. I'm willing to pay up to $300 for an aluminum one. Any good sites i could check out. Any reccomendations? Thanks

I have one of those ridiculously expensive ones in my car so I am of not help for finding an affordable one.

They sold me the same Northern 2 row Aluminum Radiator M+ shows in thier catalog @ 399.00 for $265.00 + frt. That was over a year ago but it's still a nice radiator for the $$ and best of all it bolts right in, just like stock!

I bought mine from of all places an eBay store. The name is universal parts and it's aluminum and I have had zero problems with it. I run it on my 347 in the hot Missouri summers and it has been great. Fast shipping and it was $169.00. I bought it one year ago and I was very pleased with it.

Northern makes nice low cost radiators. Cools my built engine quite nicely in 100 degree weather.

I have one from Afco Racing in my 66. $179

But Speedway Motors has a similar one for $149. This pic is from their site and is a Chev radiator. The Ford inlet/outlet/filler is reversed.

The downside is no drain, no tranny cooler, and you have to make your own brackets. But it works great!

Does the more rows a radiator have a make it better? I want to Get the AFCO aluminum radiator but it's only a two row. Is that bad? My old man want me to get a radiator with more rows. The AFCO radiator says its for racing motor, so it would cool a street engine just as well wouldn't you think?

The one I have is a two row, but each of those rows is an inch wide. The total surface area is greater than a three row brass radiator.

Works great on mine and keeps the engine cool even in hot Florida summers, idling in traffic.

6T6, was your AFCO a direct bolt in? Is there anything extra im going to need to install this radiator?

Like I mentioned in the other post, I had to make mounts. This is a generic racing radiator, not a bolt-in Mustang piece. But the mounts I made are just aluminum angle, some aluminum sheet and a few bolts. I ordered the 22" Ford version. Ignore the oddball engine; the inlet and outlet are the same as the V8.

Also, be aware there is no drain and no transmission cooler if you have an automatic.
