65 inner fenders

has anyone used the martzs aluminium inner fenders on a 65 coupe without the martz brand mustang II front suspension? martz says it wont work but i cant see why it wouldnt if its still a mustang II front suspension

Yes, they will work, but call Martz and have the to NOT cut out where the suspension goes at bottom. You can cut this out yourself. I used the Martz inners with a Heidt's superride, and I love how it turned out. Be prepared, this is not for the novice. And you will have to fabricate hood hinge mounts as well.

thanks for the info looks really good sorry for the delayed response. what did you use to support the inner fenders? i noticed hiedts had a bar running on the inside of them?

The fenders are bolted in at the bottom and against the firewall. The fenders are app 3/16" thick so I didn't add any extra bracing. Also they are tied in with the radiator support as well. So far, it's been holding there since 2005, and still no problems.
