Hey all. I have a '65 289 that I just had the carburetor replaced from the Autoline 2bbl to a Holly 2bbl.
Carburetor was installed fine, however my mechanic says that the OEM automatic kick down cable that is underneath the car is too long. So the the transmission doesn't shift as smooth as it should and you have to left off the accelerator when trying to faster so the gears will change.
Has anyone experienced this?
I tried to find a shorter cable but it is an adjustible kit and $75! Too pricey for a $12 cable fix I think
