65 mustang rear bumper

Well i wouldnt say my car is a restomod, but might be leaning that way one day. But my thoughts are this, i do not like the gap between the rear bumper and the body. i want to move it in 1/2 inch and up 1/2 inch. I think it will look better close to the body. my plan is cut the bumper bracket and make it happen, has anyone else done this?

I dunno about up, but if you move it 1/2" in, it's gonna look stupid from the side, since it won't line up with the quarter extension.

yes it has been done, on most of the Foose mustangs.I havent gotten around to doing it yet, and it doesnt look stupid

Also, I saw some fiberglass rear bumpers on line the other day, the "Shaved bolts" look is nice.

You could just make to bolt holes bigger.

Where the bracket bolts to the body, theres already a little bit of adjustment there, but you could tweak it pretty easy.

I don't know, if its in farther than the quarter extension, I don't see how it will look right.

well i put it back in place and made measurements again. I think it will look ok, i am probably going to have to play with the angle a bit to make it look right. I will post pics when i make the cuts.
