65 mustang superchargers?

Is paxton the only ones makeing Superchargers for early model 289-302's?

and there superchargers are compatible with a stroked 302's correct?

Can I run a much higher level of boost with proper forged components and a new 302 block?

What stort of stuff would I need to run a higher level of boost? Would I need a block with a 4 bolt main?

For daily use I wouldnt go past 500 hp on a 302 unless its an aftermarket block. Any blower made for fuelie 5.0's will work on a 60's windsor block. You just need a carb hat and set up your carb correctly for blowthrough supercharging. You dont need the paxton kit or even that huge carb box. Get a hat for $150, point it towards the passenger side like how the throttle body would be on a 5.0, and buy a used blower for $1000-1500 and your good to go. Keep the boost below 9 psi and you can use a normal mechanical fuel pump and just boost reference it. You'll do well with a Double pumper, either Demon or Holley. Cant use Edelbrock!! So dont ask please. Not sure on what accessories you have so I cant advice you much on that. I had a stroked carbed 5.0 with a fuelie Procharger D1 and I made 625 at the flywheel. Not sure how long that would have lasted but I parted everything out before anything bad happened. Check out the setup on Cardomain.com, smockdoiley.

I got my whole kit from Paradise Wheel,polished unit,5-7 psi,polished hat(not the box-ugly) for $2000, if you want the "cobra" box its $2500. You can call Procharger,but you have to piece the kit together and it gets pricey.Vortech was using my car 4 years ago as guinea pig to make a kit for,after 6 months of fabbimg up stuff.they scraped it and Paxton came out with the "new" kits they have now and left me high and dry.

You can use the Edel on a blow through set-up, but not the carb enclosures they are talking about. They just don't fit!

BTW Paxton is owned by Vortech

Are paxton chargers just as good as procharger? If the paxtons are as nice then I will get one of there kits, if procharger is superior I may get stuff from them.

Procharger is better and they arent that pricey. Get the kit through superchargers4less.com. You dont have to piece anything together. You can get it with or without the intercooler and can even specify whether it is going on a carbed setup or fuelie. Procharger will make way more power and the warranty is longer. The tech dept is great too.
So I stand corrected on the Edelbrock but 1. I've never seen anyone do it, and 2. Its a lot more work then playing with a holley or demon.

Agree here for sure. I don't see the point. It's kinda like putting aftermarket axles in a 8in.

Procharger DOES NOT make a bolt in kit for a carb'd mustang,mid 60's year,86' is the earliest they make(chevy's are complete kits).YOU DO have to piece together a kit and fab up your own tubing and brackets.I've been through it already and thats why I didnt get their syetem.As far as price figure about $3500-4000+,thats pricey to me.

you could always go with a B&M roots type blower. Its the same setup they use on the new ford supercharged engines....except they dont use a carb.

I just built a 347 stroker, with a 671 blower. I used the Dart block and I'm hoping to dyno it soon. I have two pullies for the street and track. So far with only 6-7 pounds of boost, its scary. I have a drag car that runs in the low 10's and I think my stang would take it. I'll try to get a few pics of it.
