Well i drove my mustang today for the first time in a long time. It has been a project car for me and I have been getting closer and closer to getting it fully running. After pulling the engine to change the clutch pressure plate and flywheel (they were worn and all from a 5.0, even the flywheel). I put it back in and had driven it yesterday and today. When I got done from school, I started the car up and it felt like it was in nuetral, but a little tight. So i let off the clutch and it lurched forward. When i parked it, I thought i left it in reverse. I am going to go jack it up and take a look in a second to see if maybe it has something to do with the linkage. But I wanted to know if this could be a sign that the transmission is going downhll? It also doesn't let me downshift from any gear to second or first although i can do it if i force it(the gears grind). I thought that the downshifting was maybe a synchronizer or something like that, but I really don't know. The transmission is a 4 speed toploader and it has a hurst shifter. Thanks
