I have just installed a new clutch disk, pressure plate and had the flywheel machined. After I installed everything including trannie, the cluch will not compress. I took it all back apart and it looks like the three fingers on my new pressure plate are already fully compressed. I know when I put it on the flywheel the pressure plate compressed while I was drawing down the bolts. I have tried to to push on the pressure plate fingers with the trannie out, and they will not move. Could this be because when the flywheel was machined they took off too much meat? When they machined the flywheel they did both the clutch surface and the surface where pressure plat attaches. I am at a loss.. I thought I screw something up while installing the trannie, but it all looked good when I took it apart. Appreciate any help...:bang: :bang: :bang:

Did you use a new or reman pressure plate? Also check the entire clutch linkage from under the dash (pedal support has pot metal bushings that do not last forever) all the way to the bellhousing. Wear in any of the parts adds up to no adjustment and failure of the throwout bearing to adequately compress the pressure plate fingers.
