65 vert restore project

THE GOOD: i finally found a classic mustang for FREE. its a 65 vert 3 speed on the floor with a V8. did i mention it was free?
THE BAD: it has a 95% chance of being stolen, it has been siting over 10 years with out its top, it is in mexico and i have yet to see it. it is free but i couldnt part it out becuase i would have to get it past the border first. its not far, and im in mexico every at least a few days in a month what should i do?

Get the vin and go to your local police dept. have them run a check on it to see if it´s stolen or not.

I think that car has the Mexican Block. I.E., if you move it out of Mexico you are likely to get blocked by the border patrol.

You could give it a go and try to make a run for it. See if you can drive through the roadblocks. Once you're on American soil, home free!
You could probably make a movie about it and make a few $ if you just filmed the Mustang busting through the border.
